One simple number per person, prorated as your workspace grows or shrinks. 14 days free to try.
For teams trying it out.
For teams that want the full experience.

What happens after the 14-day trial?
You'll get a heads-up before it ends. If you want to keep going, add a card (Stripe). If not, Pulse pauses cleanly — no data deletion, no countdown, no guilt-trip emails.
How does billing scale?
Per seat, prorated. Add a member mid-cycle, Stripe charges the proration. Remove a member, credit applies next invoice. Pulse syncs seat counts from Slack's member list automatically.
Can we self-host?
Yes, on Enterprise. Pulse is a Laravel 12 app with a Docker Compose file (app + queue + slack + scheduler + MySQL + Redis). Runs anywhere.
Does it need AI to work?
No. Every AI touchpoint has a deterministic fallback. Without an API key, pair starters come from your question bank, watercoolers get template openers, and personalization is off — you still get pairings, watercoolers, and newsletters.
Who pays for the AI tokens?
Included in Team pricing — we absorb reasonable usage. Every AI call writes a row to your workspace's ai_traces audit table with tokens, cost, and latency, so you can see what the AI is doing.
What about privacy?
Every person can DM Pulse delete my profile to wipe everything Pulse inferred about them. Opt-outs are hard gates in code — no AI override. Your replies are never used to train external models.
Is this a real product?
Built by Axelerant's People Care + engineering team. Incubating inside the Axelerant workspace before general release.
The trial is 30 days. The setup is 2 minutes. The worst case is you leave mid-month with 154 coffee chats that wouldn't have happened otherwise.
Donut is a solid product. Here's where Pulse is different — and where we're not.
Comparison reflects Pulse features that are live in the codebase today. Donut rows reflect their published documentation at the time of writing. We'll update this as either product changes.
